Role Summary

The Category Marketing Manager will lead marketing strategy for Self-Care and Intimate Wellness categories across Sub-Saharan Africa. The role focuses on developing category vision, driving innovation, managing product launches, and ensuring effective collaboration between marketing, sales, and healthcare stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute category vision aligned with regional and global strategies.
  • Develop and implement annual business and marketing plans.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and performance metrics.
  • Drive product innovation programs to achieve sustained growth.
  • Lead agency partnerships and manage external service providers.
  • Execute impactful product launches and integrated communication campaigns.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • First Degree in Pharmacy, Biological Sciences, Social Sciences, or related discipline.
  • MBA or postgraduate qualification in Business or Health-related field is an advantage.
  • 8–10 years marketing experience within Pharma or FMCG sectors.
  • Proven leadership and team development experience.
  • Strong understanding of consumer and healthcare professional journeys.
  • Ability to manage brands within competitive and complex markets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and commercial decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated innovation and creativity in marketing execution.
