Role Overview
The Utility Technician is the backbone of our factory operations, ensuring the continuous and reliable supply of high-quality utilities. You will be responsible for the end-to-end maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of critical equipment including boilers, compressors, and water treatment plants.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, generators, plumbing, and fire suppression systems to minimize downtime.
- Operational Monitoring: Supervise system parameters for steam, air, and chilled water distribution in strict accordance with Unilever SOPs.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical or electrical faults in pumps, heat exchangers, and pneumatic systems promptly.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply Autonomous Maintenance practices (CLIT) and participate in eco-efficiency projects to reduce operational costs.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a high safety standard, ensuring all chemical handling and emergency response actions meet statutory regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: OND or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: 1–2 years in industrial maintenance or utility operations (Boilers, Chillers, DM/RO plants).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic tools and strong data reporting abilities.
- Mindset: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on safety and team collaboration.
