Job Summary

FirstBank is seeking a dynamic and experienced Relationship Manager to join its Corporate Banking team, focusing on the Energy sector (Upstream & Midstream). The successful candidate will manage key client relationships, drive quality risk assets, mobilize deposits, and deliver exceptional banking services to clients in the oil and gas industry.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate customer accounts effectively while ensuring high standards of service delivery and collaboration with internal support units
  • Originate and process quality credit requests for the Energy sector and follow through approval processes
  • Monitor existing facilities to maintain performing status and ensure timely renewal
  • Actively mobilize deposits to strengthen the bank’s liability base
  • Process trade transactions including Letters of Credit, Bills for Collection, and Invisible Trade with excellent turnaround time
  • Cross-sell the full range of FirstBank products and ensure successful deployment to clients
  • Support the Business Manager in achieving all key performance indicators on the Balanced Scorecard
  • Handle customer complaints professionally within prescribed timelines
  • Comply with the Bank’s Information Security policies and protect all entrusted data

Requirements

  • HND (minimum Upper Credit) or B.Sc (minimum 2.2) in any discipline
  • MBA or ACCA qualification will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 2 years cognate experience in banking, preferably in Corporate Banking or Energy sector relationship management
  • Strong credit analysis, marketing, and customer relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
