Career Opportunity: Transaction Monitoring Analyst at Duplo

Duplo is at the forefront of financial evolution, building the infrastructure necessary to power the next generation of financial services. Our mission is to democratize financial access through a robust Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) API that allows companies to deploy financial products with speed and precision. We are currently seeking a meticulous Transaction Monitoring Analyst to join our compliance team in Lagos.

Role Responsibilities

  • Analyze system-generated transactional alerts to identify patterns of layering or structuring.
  • Proactively identify and escalate high-risk cases, ensuring the timely filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs).
  • Uphold strict adherence to AML, CTF, and KYC regulatory frameworks.
  • Place liens on confirmed suspicious inflows and coordinate with beneficiary institutions to salvage funds.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and external regulators during financial crime investigations.
  • Participate in and assist with the development of internal AML training programs and policy reviews.
  • Verify transaction authenticity by directly engaging with customers through official channels.

Professional Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, or Business is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 2 years in compliance or financial crime roles, specifically within Fintech or traditional banking.
  • Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a high-speed environment.
  • Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
