About the Role

The successful candidate will become part of EY's People Advisory Services (PAS) Immigration team, providing support on immigration compliance and advisory projects for local and international clients. The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in immigration consulting while developing valuable professional and technical skills through structured learning and exposure to diverse client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support on multiple immigration-related client engagements and projects.
• Assist in identifying client issues and recommending practical solutions.
• Execute assigned deliverables efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
• Work independently with minimal supervision when required.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain positive working relationships.
• Support business development initiatives, market research, and client service activities.
• Stay informed about developments in immigration laws, policies, and regulatory updates.
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions, thought leadership initiatives, and training programs.
• Prepare professional reports, presentations, and client communications.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to support project delivery.

Educational Requirements

• Minimum of a Second Class Upper Division (2:1) Bachelor's Degree in a Social Science-related discipline.
• Demonstrated interest in immigration compliance, advisory services, and regulatory matters.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Good understanding of Nigerian immigration regulations governing the employment, mobility, and residency of foreign nationals.
• Knowledge of the Nigeria Immigration Act 2015, Immigration Regulations 2017, and Nigeria Visa Policy (NVP) 2020.
• Understanding of entry and exit requirements for ECOWAS citizens and other foreign nationals.
• Knowledge of visa extension processes and applicable immigration policies.
• Experience preparing and submitting Expatriate Quota (EQ) applications.
• Experience handling statutory immigration filings, including EQ Returns, SSS Returns, Understudy Reports, and Temporary Work Permit Returns.
• Experience processing Visa on Arrival (VOA) and Temporary Work Permit (TWP) pre-approval applications.
• Familiarity with Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card (CERPAC) applications and related procedures.
