The company is currently seeking an experienced professional to lead its production operations at its Lagos facility.

Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Role Purpose

The Production Manager will provide both strategic and operational leadership across milling and packaging processes. The role focuses on achieving high performance in safety, quality, cost efficiency, delivery, and workforce development, in line with world-class manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end production processes including wheat intake, cleaning, conditioning, milling, and packaging.
  • Ensure efficient coordination across all production stages to meet output targets.
  • Optimize production processes to improve extraction rates and product consistency.
  • Minimize downtime through proactive maintenance and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards such as FSSC 22000, HACCP, and GMP.
  • Manage production budgets and drive cost-efficiency initiatives.
  • Monitor energy usage, material consumption, and waste reduction strategies.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or HND in Engineering or a Science-related discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualification or certification in Milling Technology is required.
  • Master’s Degree or MBA is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in a similar role within an FMCG environment.

Key Competencies

  • Strong technical expertise in wheat milling and production processes.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute production schedules effectively.
  • Excellent cost management and budgeting skills.
  • Ability to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
