Job Overview
The Compliance Monitoring and Financial Intelligence Officer will be responsible for monitoring banking transactions and activities to identify and prevent financial crimes such as money laundering, terrorism financing, and proliferation financing.
The role requires carrying out detailed transaction analysis, investigating suspicious activities, ensuring compliance with AML and CTF regulations, and supporting the bank’s overall compliance framework through effective monitoring and reporting processes.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor customer transactions and banking activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Analyze financial data to identify suspicious patterns, compliance breaches, and financial crime risks.
- Conduct investigations into flagged transactions and prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities where necessary.
- Support the development and implementation of compliance monitoring programs and internal control procedures.
- Work closely with relevant departments to identify and mitigate compliance-related risks.
- Stay informed on evolving AML, CTF, and financial crime regulations and industry best practices.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance standards and regulatory expectations.
