Job Title: Business Relationship Officer

Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

Merchant Relationship Management

  • Support the onboarding process for merchants within retail, SME, and corporate categories.
  • Assist with merchant documentation, account setup, compliance checks, and activation procedures.
  • Maintain strong communication with merchants to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Operational Support

  • Work closely with internal departments including operations, finance, and technology teams to facilitate deployment of payment solutions such as POS terminals, QR payments, and SoftPOS.
  • Monitor merchant transaction activities and assist in resolving settlement-related concerns.
  • Handle merchant inquiries and escalate technical or complex issues when necessary.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain updated records of merchant accounts and engagement activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on onboarding progress, transaction performance, and operational updates.
  • Collect merchant feedback and provide useful insights to improve service quality.

Product Awareness & Training

  • Stay informed about the company’s payment products and digital solutions.
  • Educate merchants on the effective use and benefits of the company’s payment platforms.
  • Conduct onboarding guidance and product demonstrations where required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in fintech, merchant acquisition, customer relations, or digital payment services.
  • Applicants must have completed the NYSC programme.
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills will be an added advantage.
