Kaduna, Nigeria – Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is an indigenous non-governmental organization dedicated to advancing socio-economic development through impactful global health interventions, education, and economic initiatives across Nigeria. With its headquarters in Abuja, AHNi is currently implementing an 18-month GAVI-supported Routine Immunization (RI) and Primary Health Care (PHC) Integration Project in 11 priority Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Kaduna State.
The project aims to strengthen equitable access to quality immunization and integrated PHC services, improve maternal and child health outcomes, reduce zero-dose children, and build sustainable health systems through community engagement and data-driven approaches.

Job Summary
AHNi is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented LGA Data Officer to support data management, reporting, and monitoring activities for the GAVI RI/PHC Integration Project. The successful candidate will ensure accurate data collection, validation, analysis, and timely reporting across supported facilities, wards, and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the collection, collation, validation, analysis, and timely reporting of immunization and project-related data.
- Conduct data verification, consistency checks, and Data Quality Assessments (DQA), and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate databases, resolve data discrepancies, and ensure alignment between source documents and reporting systems.
- Provide technical support for DHIS2 and other health information systems, troubleshoot issues, and monitor key immunization indicators.
- Generate performance reports, summaries, and dashboards for decision-making and review meetings.
- Participate in supportive supervision visits and mentor health workers and community volunteers on data tools and reporting.
- Strengthen documentation, record management, and community-level tracking of immunization sessions and outreach activities.
- Collaborate with LGA authorities, partners, and stakeholders on data-related activities.
- Ensure confidentiality, safeguarding, accountability, and ethical data management practices.
Minimum Recruitment Standards
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Health Information Management, Public Health, Epidemiology, Demography, Mathematics, Social Sciences, or related fields.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in data management, monitoring & evaluation, or health information systems.
- Hands-on experience using DHIS2, Microsoft Excel, and other data management tools.
- Strong understanding of routine immunization indicators and health information systems.
- Experience in data quality verification and supportive supervision.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in field-based and multicultural environments.
- Knowledge of Kaduna State local context and local languages is an added advantage.
- Experience working on donor-funded public health projects (GAVI, Global Fund, UNICEF, WHO, etc.) is highly desirable.
