Role Purpose

The Training Controller provides specialized L&D solutions focused on technical excellence and performance. You will be the architect of onsite skill development, ensuring every team member is equipped to brew and package the best beers in the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Training Strategy: Initiate development processes by identifying gaps through abnormality reports, walkabouts, and team room discussions.
• SOP Management: Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are effectively used as training aids and collaborate with Line Managers to update documentation.
• Logistics Coordination: Manage the execution of the Annual Training Plan, including vendor selection for external programs and Purchase Order processing.
• Competency Monitoring: Administer the SKAP (Skills, Knowledge, Attributes, and Performance) management system and coordinate formative and summative assessments.
• Pipeline Development: Oversee Apprenticeship and Learnership programs to ensure a steady flow of future leaders and technical experts.
• Impact Evaluation: Analyze training effectiveness through Level 1 evaluations and develop ROI reports to improve future learning initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: BSc or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Technical Background: 3–5 years of experience within a high-speed Packaging environment.
• Professional Certification: A tertiary qualification as a Learning & Development Practitioner is desirable but not essential.
• Core Skills: Strong business acumen, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Attributes: Self-motivated with high energy, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
