Job Role: Construction Manager

  • Reports To: Senior Project Manager

The Mission

FWC is seeking a results-oriented Construction Manager to direct infrastructure projects from the initial concept to final delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring value for money, strict QA/QC compliance, and maintaining an impeccable HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) record with zero accidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight: Direct multiple construction sites simultaneously, ensuring timelines and budgets are strictly met.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop critical path schedules and measurable benchmarks to monitor site progress.
  • Resource Management: Optimize the deployment of tools, equipment, and materials while maintaining strict inventory control.
  • Financial Control: Minimize material wastage and implement cost-saving measures to prevent budget overruns.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise subcontractors and trade specialists, ensuring a database of competent talent is maintained.
  • Facility Maintenance: Oversee estate maintenance activities to ensure long-term operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Building Engineering from a reputable institution.
  • Experience: 7–10 years of solid experience in civil and building engineering projects.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural tools like STAAD Pro or Orion.
  • Professional Standing: COREN or CORBON registration is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of Nigerian building codes and safety regulations.
