The company is currently seeking a qualified professional to join its team in the capacity below:

Job Title: Category Manager

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the company’s marketing strategy in alignment with business objectives
  • Develop and present Annual Country and Brand Plans for approval
  • Oversee brand management and ensure consistency in corporate identity
  • Coordinate internal communication to align departments with marketing goals
  • Collaborate with Group Marketing on brand communication strategies
  • Ensure compliance with advertising policies and budget frameworks
  • Plan and execute consumer and trade promotions effectively
  • Monitor performance metrics including market share and volume growth
  • Track competitor activities and provide strategic insights
  • Manage marketing operations within approved budgets
  • Drive innovation based on consumer trends and long-term strategies
  • Work with agencies on product launches and marketing campaigns

Requirements

  • 8–10 years’ experience in a multinational FMCG environment
  • Strong background in both Sales and Brand/Marketing Management
  • Experience managing third-party agencies and partners
  • Proven budget and cost control expertise
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Nigerian consumer behavior and media landscape
  • Experience developing marketing communication materials (including TV campaigns)
  • Leadership experience with ability to manage and grow teams
