About the Role

The Retail Operations Lead will drive operational excellence across Airtel Nigeria’s retail network. The role focuses on ensuring consistent execution of retail strategies, improving customer experience, optimizing store performance, and leading frontline teams to achieve business and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations across retail stores and customer touchpoints nationwide.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and brand standards.
  • Maintain consistency in service delivery and store performance.

Sales & Performance Management

  • Develop strategies to achieve retail sales targets and KPIs.
  • Monitor store performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
  • Optimize merchandising, promotions, and product availability.

Customer Experience Excellence

  • Promote a customer-first culture across all retail outlets.
  • Ensure quick resolution of customer issues.
  • Leverage customer feedback to improve service delivery.

Process Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify operational gaps and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Use technology and analytics to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support rollout of new products and retail initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, supply chain, and customer service teams.

  • Lead, mentor, and coach regional and store-level teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in retail operations, preferably in telecom or FMCG sectors.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-location retail operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to improve store productivity and conversion rates.
  • Experience increasing customer satisfaction metrics (CSAT/NPS).
  • Track record of achieving retail revenue and growth targets.
