Job Purpose

The Specialist, Field Operations will be responsible for analyzing operational data, reporting on business performance, and supporting decision-making across the Air Cargo Services (ACS) unit. The role focuses on identifying service improvement opportunities, conducting root-cause analysis of operational issues, and supporting strategic projects across the supply chain network.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to enhance service quality, optimize operational performance, and contribute to DHL’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and analyze reports, dashboards, and scorecards using multiple data sources and analytical tools.
  • Support ACS Service Quality and Network Operations teams with operational insights and performance analysis.
  • Monitor third-party handling activities and operational performance.
  • Produce ad-hoc reports for senior management when required.
  • Identify new data requirements based on evolving business needs.
  • Document, approve, and track change requests related to reporting and data systems.
  • Maintain and improve existing reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Act as a data steward and promote digital reporting solutions such as Power BI.
  • Ensure compliance with DHL data policies and reporting standards.
  • Provide support to users across global, regional, and country-level teams.
  • Develop innovative solutions that enhance DHL’s logistics service portfolio.
  • Create presentations and communication materials for the ACS community.
  • Organize training sessions to help departments effectively use reporting tools.
  • Support project management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and implementation support for reporting systems.
  • Provide technical support to global ACS departments.
  • Support administrative project activities including performance tracking and stakeholder communication.

Educational Qualifications

  • University Degree in Engineering, Economics, Science, or a related discipline.
  • A strong analytical or data-focused background is preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a business analyst or data analyst role.
  • Experience working in global, regional, or country-level operations.
  • Familiarity with DHL Air Cargo Services (ACS) operations, KPIs, and global reporting systems is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience working with analytical and reporting software.
  • Experience managing operational or logistics projects.

  • Understanding of DHL ACS internal data systems and IATA messaging standards.
