Job Overview
The Procurement Officer will play an important role in managing supplier relationships, monitoring inventory requirements, and ensuring timely procurement of materials essential to business operations. The position requires analytical thinking, negotiation expertise, and strong coordination with internal departments and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential suppliers to support procurement activities.
- Evaluate supplier quotations and compare offers to achieve best value.
- Negotiate pricing structures and contractual agreements with vendors.
- Procure operational materials and services required for daily activities.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase orders when necessary.
- Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure proper storage and handling.

- Maintain accurate procurement records including invoices and delivery details.

Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
- Experience working in structured procurement environments is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Understanding of cement manufacturing industry trends and regulations.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with system-based inventory and procurement platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
