The Nigerian Army, the largest component of the Nigerian Armed Forces, is responsible for land warfare operations and national security across the country. Governed by the Nigerian Army Council, the Army continues to recruit capable and disciplined individuals committed to serving the nation.

Applications are now invited from qualified Nigerians for the 91 Regular Recruit Intake (RRI) for Trades and Non-Tradesmen/Women nationwide.

Recruitment Details

Position: 91 Regular Recruit Intake (Trades / Non-Tradesmen & Women)
Location: Nationwide, Nigeria

Basic Entry Requirements

  • Applicant must be a single Nigerian citizen by birth.
  • Must possess a valid National Identity Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN).
  • Name and date of birth on NIN must match BVN and all submitted credentials.
  • Must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit according to Nigerian Army standards.
  • Must have no criminal record or court conviction.
  • Minimum of four (4) passes including English Language in WASSCE, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS (maximum of two sittings).
  • Trades applicants must possess relevant Trade Test or City & Guild Certificate.
  • Must present a valid birth certificate from National Population Commission, hospital, or local government authority.
  • Age requirement:
    • 18 – 22 years for Non-Tradesmen/Women
    • Not above 26 years for Tradesmen/Women (as at 30 June 2026)
  • Minimum height:
    • 1.68 metres (Male)
    • 1.65 metres (Female)
  • Application must be completed using applicant’s State of Origin.
  • Must possess a valid Certificate of State of Origin.

  • Log in using the generated username and password.
  • Submit the application online and print the Photo Card.
  • Complete and sign the Guarantor Form after submission.
  • Failure to submit the application online will result in disqualification.
  • Bring required signed documents during state screening exercises.

Important Notes

  • All credentials will be verified with issuing authorities.
  • Submission of fake documents will lead to prosecution.
  • No Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted.
  • No special recruitment centres exist outside official screening locations.
  • Screening will take place in candidates’ respective states of origin.
  • Electronic or recording devices are not allowed at screening venues.
  • Tattoos, body inscriptions, or unauthorized piercings are not permitted.
  • Applicants must not belong to any cult or secret society.
