MTN Foundation Y’ellopreneur Programme 2026 for Nigerian Women Entrepreneurs (Training, Loans & Grants)
Applications have officially commenced for the 2026 MTN Foundation Y’ellopreneur Programme, an empowerment initiative designed to support women-owned businesses across Nigeria through entrepreneurial training, funding opportunities, and business mentorship.
The programme aims to reduce unemployment among women while promoting sustainable business growth by equipping female entrepreneurs with practical skills, access to financing, and long-term business development support.
Since its launch, the Y’ellopreneur initiative has empowered thousands of Nigerian women. During the first two phases, over 5,700 women entrepreneurs received entrepreneurship training, while selected beneficiaries accessed equipment financing valued at more than ₦301 million.
For the 2026 edition, the MTN Foundation is partnering with the Bank of Industry (BOI) to implement a ₦1 billion matching fund model, expanding financial access and growth opportunities for women-led enterprises nationwide.
Eligibility Criteria
Interested applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicant must be a female entrepreneur resident in Nigeria
- Must own and actively manage a business operating for at least two (2) years
- Business must operate within any of the following sectors:
- Agriculture and Agro-processing
- Manufacturing
- ICT and Digital Services
- Waste Management or Circular Economy
- Priority consideration may be given to businesses utilizing locally sourced raw materials
Programme Benefits
Selected participants will gain access to multiple growth opportunities, including:
- Comprehensive entrepreneurship and business management training
- Equipment financing support ranging between ₦2 million and ₦3 million
- Grant opportunities upon successful loan repayment
- Business advisory services and professional mentorship
- Post-training enterprise development support
Programme Structure
The Y’ellopreneur Programme will be implemented in structured phases:
- Entrepreneurial capacity training for approximately 1,000 women
- Business plan development and evaluation
- Selection of top-performing participants
- Funding support through loans and grants
- Continuous mentorship and advisory services
