Workforce Group is currently recruiting a results-driven Procurement Officer to manage end-to-end procurement activities, support cost optimization, and ensure compliance with procurement standards at its Victoria Island office.

Job Summary

The Procurement Officer will oversee the sourcing and acquisition of goods and services, ensuring the right balance of cost, quality, and delivery timelines. The role supports operational efficiency through strategic sourcing, supplier management, and adherence to procurement policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

  • Execute end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, vendor selection, negotiation, and purchase order management.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure competitiveness in pricing, quality, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and service-level agreements to achieve value for money.

Cost Control & Compliance

  • Monitor procurement spend and support cost optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Provide procurement documentation to support internal and external audits.

Inventory & Operations Support

  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of goods and services.
  • Track inventory levels and support demand planning where applicable.
  • Resolve procurement-related issues that may impact business operations.

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address delivery, quality, or cost concerns.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records, contracts, and procurement documentation.

Reporting

  • Prepare procurement reports covering spend analysis, supplier performance, and cost savings.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of purchase orders, invoices, and deliveries.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–8 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
  • Experience in corporate, FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, or service-driven environments is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement or ERP systems.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Good understanding of procurement best practices and sourcing strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
