Procurement Officer
Taeillo, a fast-growing e-commerce furniture and lifestyle brand known for its African-inspired furniture designs, is currently seeking a qualified Procurement Officer to support its production operations. This role involves managing supplier relationships and ensuring the timely sourcing of essential materials used in furniture manufacturing.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of raw materials, tools, machinery components, and support services required for efficient production processes. The role also ensures vendor compliance and alignment with company procurement standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers of furniture production materials including wood, laminates, adhesives, hardware, and upholstery items.
- Maintain an updated database of approved vendors.
- Assess supplier performance based on quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate purchase terms and supplier contracts.
- Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Local Purchase Orders (LPOs).
- Ensure timely communication of LPOs through official company channels.
- Prevent production delays by monitoring material availability and stock levels.
- Support inventory audits and maintain procurement documentation.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal company policies.
- Coordinate with quality control teams to verify material standards.
- Track procurement orders and manage returns for defective supplies.
- Conduct price comparisons and evaluate cost-effective procurement options.
- Work with production and store teams to optimize stock usage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Working knowledge of furniture manufacturing materials and processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and procurement management software.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and record-keeping skills.
- Minimum of 4 – 7 years procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated integrity and adherence to compliance standards.
