Eterna Plc is a quoted Public Limited Integrated Energy Company engaged in the manufacturing and sale of lubricating oils; importation and bulk/retail sale of petroleum products including PMS, AGO, LPFO, base oils, and bitumen; export of lubricants and fuels; bunkering; gas distribution and marketing (LPG and NG); offshore and onshore oil services; gas processing; equipment supply services; and other engineering and technical services for the energy industry.
Job Summary
The Head, Human Resources will provide strategic leadership for all HR functions at Eterna Plc, ensuring alignment of people strategy with business objectives while driving organizational effectiveness, compliance, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with Eterna Plc’s business objectives and long-term growth plan.
- Lead HR operations including compensation and benefits, payroll oversight, policy development, compliance, and HR systems optimization.
- Provide leadership on employee relations, disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, and industrial relations.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian labour laws, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards.
- Act as a trusted strategic partner to executive management and business leaders.
- Drive organizational development initiatives including workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, and change management.
- Oversee talent acquisition, employer branding, onboarding, employee engagement, learning, and leadership development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or any related field.
- Minimum of Second Class Upper degree.
- Professional HR certification such as CIPM, CIPD, or SHRM is strongly preferred.
- 10–12 years of progressive HR leadership experience in a structured organization.
- Proven ability to operate both strategically and hands-on.
- Strong knowledge of labour law, compensation management, performance management, and organizational development.
