Job Overview

The Commercial Banking Officer will serve as a relationship strategist responsible for developing customized financial solutions for commercial clients while maintaining strong portfolio performance and regulatory compliance. The role requires a balance of financial expertise, risk intelligence and business development capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with commercial clients
  • Provide advisory-driven financial solutions tailored to client business needs
  • Conduct financial analysis, credit assessments and viability evaluations
  • Monitor portfolio performance and proactively mitigate emerging risks
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal risk policies
  • Prepare and structure detailed credit proposals aligned with institutional guidelines
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities to expand the commercial portfolio
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless client service experiences
  • Recommend innovative banking products to support client growth and operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline
  • Advanced degree or professional certification is an advantage
  • Minimum of seven (7) years progressive experience in commercial banking or corporate lending
  • Strong expertise in credit analysis and portfolio management
  • Proven business development track record
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of commercial banking products and regulatory framework
