Storekeeper Assistant (Abuja, FCT)

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is a leading international humanitarian organization providing medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, and exclusion from healthcare. MSF operates independently and delivers aid without discrimination, guided by the principles of neutrality, impartiality, and medical ethics.

MSF has been active in Nigeria for several years in collaboration with federal, state, and local health authorities. Current projects include emergency obstetric care, primary healthcare services, and nutrition programs across multiple states, coordinated from Abuja.

MSF is currently recruiting a qualified candidate for the position of Storekeeper Assistant to support logistics and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out assigned tasks under the supervision of the line manager.
  • Receive incoming goods, verify quantities, and inspect items for condition and accuracy against waybills.
  • Prepare outgoing items by packing, sealing, and labeling materials appropriately.
  • Assist with recording stock movements on stock cards and project documentation.
  • Ensure proper cold-chain handling and storage of temperature-sensitive items when required.
  • Organize and store items to ensure visibility, traceability, and easy access.
  • Support inventory counts and ensure storage conditions meet required standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the store and surrounding work areas.
  • Ensure store security by preventing unauthorized access and securing storage facilities.
  • Assist with loading and offloading of trucks and handling of heavy materials when necessary.
  • Use and maintain tools and equipment responsibly.
  • Report incidents, damages, or irregularities promptly to supervisors.
