Job Summary

The Field Services Intern will undergo foundational training on GE medical equipment while working closely with experienced field engineers. The role focuses on learning equipment servicing, installation support, safety procedures, and customer interaction within healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and shadow field engineers across assigned medical equipment modalities.
• Develop basic electronic and mechanical troubleshooting knowledge with a focus on safety (EHS).
• Interact daily with doctors and technicians regarding equipment performance and status.
• Support customer satisfaction initiatives and assist during account sales visits when required.
• Identify potential sales opportunities and communicate findings to the account team.
• Assist with warranty and preventive maintenance (PMS) cost-control activities.
• Complete all administrative documentation accurately and on schedule.
• Support offsite installation processes and share operational best practices.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards and GE Service Quality policies.

Quality & Compliance Responsibilities

• Comply with GE Healthcare Quality Manual, policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Complete all required quality and compliance training within specified timelines.
• Promptly report any customer or personal quality and compliance concerns.
• Ensure timely closure of service dispatches.
• Complete all Field Modification Instructions (FMIs) within prescribed timelines.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and escalating quality gaps.

Qualifications & Requirements

• National Diploma (ND II) holders from Nigeria Ministry of Health–certified Biomedical institutions.
• Basic technical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethics, attention to quality, and high professional standards.
• Self-motivated with good planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to influence effectively and manage differing opinions professionally.
