Business Relationship Manager (Remote – Lagos, Nigeria)

We are currently hiring a Business Relationship Manager to drive merchant acquisition, expand product adoption, and build long-term business relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire new merchants through targeted sales and business development activities.
  • Promote and cross-sell banking and financial products to existing and prospective clients.
  • Identify sales opportunities through cold calling, referrals, networking, and digital channels.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to achieve assigned sales targets.
  • Conduct daily sales meetings and weekly planning sessions with team members.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants and enterprise clients.
  • Carry out market research to identify customer needs and emerging opportunities.
  • Participate in trade fairs, community activations, and cluster marketing events.
  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations on products and services.
  • Gather customer feedback and share insights with internal teams.
  • Understand customer financial goals and recommend suitable financial solutions.

Requirements

  • 4–5 years of proven sales or business development experience, preferably in banking or fintech.
  • Strong understanding of the financial services and merchant onboarding ecosystem.
  • Experience selling POS devices or lending products is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Tertiary education from a recognized institution.
