Job Description

• We need an experienced and dynamic Terminal Manager to lead our operations with efficiency and precision.
• As the Terminal Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of terminal operations, ensuring smooth and efficient handling of cargo while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
• Based in Lagos, you will lead a dedicated team and collaborate closely with various stakeholders to drive operational excellence and uphold our reputation for exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage terminal operations, including cargo handling, vessel operations, and facility maintenance, to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity.
• Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to optimize terminal performance and achieve operational goals.
• Collaborate with internal departments, external vendors, and port authorities to coordinate terminal activities and resolve operational issues.
• Manage budgetary responsibilities, including forecasting, cost control, and capital expenditure planning, to optimize financial performance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver value-added services.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations in all terminal activities.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement among terminal staff through effective leadership and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in terminal management or related field, with a track record of success in leading terminal operations.
• In-depth knowledge of terminal operations, maritime regulations, and industry best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to drive operational excellence and improve performance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed to support terminal operations.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and deliver results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Salary
N150,000 – N300,000 Monthly.
