Recruitment Opportunities at the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC)

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was established by the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to among other things organize elections into various political offices in the country.

Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC) is currently recruiting for the following positions in Edo state:

Poll Orderly (Ad-Hoc)

Requirements

  • Candidates must be holders of Senior Secondary School Certificates or its equivalents.
  • He or She must not have convicted of any criminal offence.

Poll Clerk (Ad-Hoc)

Requirements

  • Candidates must be holders of Senior Secondary School Certificates or its equivalents.
  • He or she must not be a member of any Political Party.
  • He or she must not have been convicted of any criminal Offence.

Presiding Officer (Ad-Hoc)

Requirements

  • Candidates must be holders of a Nations Diploma (ND) or Senior School Certificate (SSCE) or its equivalent.
  • He or She must not be a member of any Political Party.
  • He or she must not been convicted of any criminal offence.

 

Supervisory Officer (Ad-Hoc)

Requirements

  • Candidates must be holders of a First Degree or equivalent from a recognized Educational Institution in Nigeria or outside Nigeria.
  • He or she must have participated in similar elections in the past.
  • He or she must not be a member of any political party.
  • He or she must not have convicted of any criminal offence.

Ward Returning Officer (Ad-Hoc)

Requirements

  • Candidates must be holders of at least a First Degree or its equivalent i.e HND from a recognized Educational Institution in Nigeria or outside Nigeria.
  • Such applicants must have participated in similar elections in the past
  • He or she must not be a member of any political party.
  • He or she must not have been convicted of any criminal offence.

Local Government Returning Officer (Ad-Hoc)

Requirements

  • Candidates must be holders of at least a First Degree or its equivalent i.e HND from a recognized Educational Institution in Nigeria or outside Nigeria.
  • Such applicants must have participated in similar elections in the past
  • He or she must not be a member of any political party.
  • He or she must not have been convicted of any criminal offence.
