About the Role
The selected candidate will work within the General Services Office (GSO) and help manage important service areas including customer support and travel operations. The position also supports local employees, U.S. direct-hire staff, and their family members assigned to Abuja.
The role reports directly to the Supervisory General Services Officer and requires a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and organizational ability.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide support across customer service and travel portfolios.
- Assist entry-level Assistant General Services Officers with daily operations.
- Support employees and families assigned to the U.S. Embassy Abuja.
- Coordinate administrative processes and office services efficiently.
- Ensure service delivery standards are maintained.
- Work with multiple internal departments and external contacts when required.
Educational Requirements
Candidates must possess a University Degree in any of the following or related disciplines:
- Mathematics
- Psychology
- Law
- Business Management
- Communications
- Related Courses
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of two years relevant experience in logistics, procurement, project management, administration, business management, or quality management.
- At least six months supervisory experience.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Knowledge of General Services Office regulations and procedures.
- Understanding of procurement and travel regulations.
- Strong administrative and office management skills.
- General understanding of embassy organizational structures.
- Knowledge of local business practices and government agencies.
