Job Summary
The Planning Supervisor will report directly to the Planning and Commercial Coordinator and will oversee planning activities related to oil and gas asset development and production management. The role focuses on coordinating schedules, optimizing operational efficiency, supporting strategic decisions, and ensuring projects meet operational targets within defined timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Scheduling
- Develop and manage integrated project schedules for asset development and production activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational timelines.
- Track progress against schedules and identify risks or delays.
Risk Management
- Assess project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Identify opportunities to improve timelines and reduce cost overruns.
- Work with stakeholders to maintain project continuity.
Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry planning standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of schedules and revisions.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
Resource Allocation
- Coordinate allocation of personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Optimize resource utilization to improve productivity.
- Identify and resolve resource capacity challenges.
Performance Analysis
- Analyze KPIs related to planning and scheduling performance.
- Prepare progress and performance reports for management review.
- Recommend operational improvements based on data insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Professional certification such as PMP is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in planning or scheduling roles, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Understanding of asset development and production management processes.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
